Aliyah was two weeks old yesterday. She had a visit with the doctor and she is doing great. She weighs 7lbs now and she is changing every day.

ONE WEEK OLD

Aliyah went to the doctor yesterday and the doctor says she is perfect. (We already knew that). She weighs 6lbs 2ozs now and Mommy & baby are doing great!

5 DAYS OLD

Aliyah Nicole-4 days old.

Aliyah Nicole Blackard has arrived!!!!!!!!!

She's finally here after 16 hours of labor. She was born on Tuesday November 6, 2007 @ 8:35am. She weighed 6 lbs 6 ozs and was 20 1/4" long. She checked into Labor & Delivery at 8:00am Monday November 5, 2007 as scheduled. We waited in the waiting room until 2:10pm for a room. They broke her water at 4:15pm. She had a wonderful delivery, but her labor wasn't so good. Aliyah is the most beautiful baby girl in the world.

38 Week Appointment & Ultrasound

Nicki had her 38 week appointment and ultrasound yesterday. Everything looks great. Aliyah weighs about 5lbs 9ozs. She is still on schedule to be induced at 8:00am Monday November 5th if she doesn't go into labor before then. She will be here in less than a week. I can't wait to see her.

36 WEEK APPOINTMENT

Nicki had her 36 week appointment on Wednesday. Everything is going good. Aliyah is measuring about 3 weeks behind which means she will be small and that is what Dr. Camejo was hoping for since Nicki is so small. She starts going every week now, but she will only have a couple of appointments. She will have another ultrasound on the 30th and if she doesn't go into labor before November 5, he will induce on the 5th. Can't believe Aliyah will be here in a little over 2 weeks.

BELLY PICTURES!!!!!

This is Aliyah's first pair of Adidas (size 2). We are hoping she can wear them by the time she is a year old. Nicki's last doctor visit went well. Aliyah's heartbeat is still really strong and everything seems to be right on schedule. Nicki is having some problems sleeping and is having extreme heartburn and is a little short of breath but otherwise is feeling good. Her next doctor visit is October 3. Aliyah will be here soon.

Baby Shower

We want to thank everyone who came to my shower. Thanks so much for all the wonderful gifts for us and for Aliyah. She is already being spoiled. Only a couple more months and she'll be here. Thanks again! Love, Nicki, Brian, & Aliyah

September Appointment

Nicki had her September appointment yesterday and everything is going well. She is pretty much right where she should be for 30 weeks. Wow, it's hard to believe she only has 10 weeks to go. She will now be going to the doctor every 2 weeks. They will do an ultrasound at 38 weeks to see how big Aliyah has gotten and go from there. We are very hopeful that she weighs in at about 5 1/2 pounds as that is what Dr. Camejo is hoping for. They think she weighs about 2 pounds now and will start growing very quickly at this point. Nicki is very excited about the shower on Saturday and we hope that everyone can be there.

July Dr Visit

Nicki went in for her monthly visit to Dr Camejo yesterday.Everything is going great. She had only gained 2 pounds and Aliyah is doing fine, although she wasn't being very cooperative. The nurse practitioner tried several times to get a heart rate on her, but every time she located the heartbeat Aliyah would start doing somersaults. I think this little girl may be a hand full. Only 18 more weeks to go.

Nicki's 20 week ultrasound

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

We had our ultrasound today and it's a baby girl. We are going to name her Aliyah Nicole. They said everything looks great and she's doing perfect. We got to see her hands and feet. Her heartrate was 146 which is very good. My due date is November 13th. We are so excited and we'll keep you updated!

June Check-up

Nicki had her monthly check-up with Dr. Camejo yesterday. Everything is going great. She had only gained 2 pounds and is feeling much better. The baby's heartrate was in the 140's. Her next appointment with Dr. Camejo is on July 11. She will have an ultrasound on June 26 so maybe we will find out if it's a girl or boy. We are all very excited. The due date is still somewhere between November 11th & the 24th. Hopefully we will know a little more after the ultrasound.

May Appointment

Nicki had an appointment with her new doctor last week. She has gained 11 lbs and about 3 1/2 inches around her waist. The baby's heartrate was 152. Nicki will have her next ultrasound in about 7 weeks and hopefully we'll find out if it's a boy or a girl. She has been feeling ok, but is still having a lot of headaches.

First Ultrasound

Wednesday we had our first ultrasound. The baby was moving around a lot and we could see the heart beating. The baby's heartrate was 170, which is good. And the baby is about an inch long (the size of a strawberry). It was so exciting. Nicki is feeling ok, just tired and a little cranky :). She goes back to the doctor next week so we'll keep you updated.

Nicki's Pregnant!!!!

Well everyone, we're going to have a lil Nicki or Brian running around in about 8 months. She is due in November. She is scheduled to hear the heartbeat on April 11th for the first time. We are very excited and we'll keep you updated.
